The Wheel of the Year has guided human beings through the rhythms of nature for thousands of years — marking the turn of the seasons, the dance of light and dark, the eternal cycle of death and rebirth. But woven into that ancient wheel is something even more intimate: a map of the feminine soul.

The Women of the Wheel are 12 feminine archetypes, each one rooted in a specific season, energy, and turning point of the year. Together, they form a complete portrait of womanhood — not as a single fixed identity, but as a living, breathing, ever-changing cycle.

From the quiet, inward power of the depths of winter to the bold, radiant fullness of midsummer, each Woman of the Wheel carries her own medicine. Her own wisdom. Her own invitation.

Why Archetypes? Why the Wheel?

We live in a world that often asks women to be one thing — consistent, constant, always “on.” But nature has never worked that way, and neither have we.

The Wheel of the Year teaches us that every season has its purpose. Darkness is not failure. Rest is not laziness. The wild, untamed energy of a storm is just as sacred as the stillness of a solstice morning. Everything, all parts of us, are always welcome.

The 12 Women of the Wheel honour this truth. They give language and form to the different energies we move through — not just across a lifetime, but across a single year, a single month, even a single day. When you recognise which archetype is speaking to you, you stop fighting where you are and start working with it.

Each archetype is an invitation to ask: Where am I on the Wheel right now? Which Woman is asking to be seen in me?
